CONTRACTOR RISK

In Colombia, your supplier's labour practices become your exposure.

Colombian law establishes joint liability of the contracting company for the labour and social-security obligations of its contractors. A food-service provider that hires by the day, through intermediaries or under service agreements to avoid payroll charges is not saving you money — it is transferring a liability onto your balance sheet that your parent company will find during the next audit.

We hire directly, with full social security from the first shift, without intermediate structures. It is not a differentiator we invented: it is the law, and a significant part of this sector does not comply with it.

FIVE LINES, ONE POINT OF CONTACT

Not every company needs the same thing, or at the same time.

Some need tomorrow's lunch solved. Some need an event on Friday. Some need a three-year contract with monthly reporting. The divisions exist so you are not forced to buy what you do not need.

BRAND FILM · 25 SECONDS

What nourishes, transforms.

Twenty-five seconds on why the company exists, who stands behind every plate, and what it means to run a hotel-grade standard in a kitchen serving hundreds of meals a day.

THE SAVIA SHIELD

A guarantee with no written consequence is an adjective.

Every supplier promises quality. Almost none writes down what happens on the day they fail to deliver it. Our guarantees go into the contract, each with its verification mechanism and its consequence — and the consequence has a ceiling, because a promise without a limit will not hold, and you deserve to know that before signing.

The full Shield — each guarantee with its mechanism, its consequence and its limit of liability — is delivered inside the proposal, reviewed by our lawyer. We do not publish it on the web: a contractual clause is not read outside the contract that contains it.

THE GROUND NOBODY OCCUPIES

We are not asking you to trust us. We are giving you what to verify.

BEFORE YOU SIGN

Before you hire SAVIA, put us to the test.

A new service experience, backed by real experience.

We won't ask you to trust us on a reference list. We propose something more solid: check us yourself.

  • Review our operating model.
  • Read our quality and food-safety protocols.
  • Meet our team.
  • Verify our indicators.
30 days
To see how we perform before a long commitment, start with a 30-day pilot.
90 days
For the first 90 days you keep a no-penalty exit: trust is earned with results, not asked for up front.

We are not promising SAVIA is the best. We are giving you the chance to find out.

Less risk for you. More accountability for us.

SAVIA: what nourishes, transforms.

NO COMMITMENT

You do not have to call us today.

There is a long way between reading a page and hosting a new supplier at your plant, and you do not have to cover it in one step. These are the three ways to deal with us, from the one that costs you nothing to the one that costs you a morning.

01

Take the checklist with you

What to verify before signing with any operator, on a single sheet you can print and take into the meeting. No form, no email address.

02

Work out what absenteeism costs you

The figure you can take into a committee: days lost times daily cost, plus what covering the shift costs. It runs in your browser and is sent nowhere.

03

Ask whatever you need to know

A specific question about your case — time windows, headcount, special diets, what to require from your current provider — answered on WhatsApp, with nothing to schedule.

04

Ask for the assessment

We come to your site, measure the operation and hand you the report in writing. It is free, and the report is yours even if you stay with your current provider.

REGULATORY FRAMEWORK

What Colombian regulation lets you demand — and what we hand over.

Resolución 2674 de 2013 governs the sanitary conditions of anyone who manufactures, processes, prepares and distributes food in Colombia. If you are new to the Colombian framework, this is the short version of what it entitles you to require from any supplier.

  1. Valid sanitary licence for the production site

Check three things: the expiry date, whose name it is issued under, and whether the address matches the kitchen where your food will actually be produced — not the administrative office.

  2. Food-handling certificates for every operator

Individual, current, and verifiable per person on shift.

  3. Documented cold and hot chain control

A temperature log with time, responsible person and signature — not a statement in a proposal. Ask to see last Tuesday's log.

  4. Batch traceability and retention samples

What allows a specific preparation and input to be isolated in hours rather than suspending the entire service.

  5. Public liability insurance including product coverage

Product coverage is NOT included by default in a public liability policy. It is the coverage that responds to a foodborne illness event. Ask for the policy schedule and look for the wording.

  6. Written sanitary crisis protocol

Single spokesperson, maximum time to isolate the batch, and who absorbs medical and investigation costs — defined before the event, not after it.

On certificationOn HACCP, be direct with every supplier including us: ask for the certificate number, the certifying body and the expiry date. Food safety and order are a pillar of our ecosystem: our processes are designed on HACCP principles, with preventive controls, traceability and monitored critical points, and certification is on route. That is what we declare, and it is what you can audit before you sign.

THE COMPARISON THAT ACTUALLY MATTERS

The same tax treatment. With data the voucher cannot give you.

Payments a company makes to a third party for its people's meals are not taxable income for the employee, within the limits of article 387-1 of the Colombian Tax Code. That treatment applies to a meal voucher and to an operated canteen alike.

The difference sits elsewhere: with a card you hand over money and learn nothing more. You do not know what your people ate, you cannot move a health indicator, and the benefit turns into spending at the corner shop. We use the same tax treatment, and we return per-employee data and a real intervention on the days your team loses to common illness.

THE FIRST STEP, AND IT IS FREE

Start with the assessment. The report is yours either way.

We visit your site, measure the real operation and hand you in writing what you actually need — whether or not you go on to hire us.

If you would rather write than fill in a form, WhatsApp reaches the same team and the first commercial reply takes under an hour during business hours.

Country dialling codeIt can be your WhatsApp number: that is where we reply fastest.

How many would eat per day. If you don't know yet, say so.

We reply in under an hour during business hours

When you press, your request is recorded with us and WhatsApp or your email client opens with the message already written, so you decide whether to send it. We do not share your data with third parties outside the operation.

THE QUESTIONS YOU ALREADY HAVE

Six answers before you have to ask for them.

How long has SAVIA been operating?

The company was incorporated in Cartagena in 2026, and the team running it comes from the city's hotel sector: the corporate executive chef has more than 15 years in food operations and the general management comes from the same industry. We produce in kitchens holding a current sanitary licence and offer a 30-day pilot with free exit.

We would rather this answer sit here than have you find it at the chamber of commerce. Company age is public record, and a supplier who dodges the question is telling you something.

Meet the team

Are we exposed to our supplier's labour liabilities in Colombia?

Yes. Colombian law establishes joint liability of the contracting company for the labour and social-security obligations of its contractors. A provider that hires by the day or through intermediaries to reduce payroll charges is transferring that exposure onto your balance sheet, where your parent company's audit will find it.

We hire directly, with full social security from the first shift and no intermediate structures. It is not a differentiator we invented — it is the law, and a significant part of this sector does not comply with it. Ask any bidder for payroll evidence, not for a statement.

How we hire

How much does the service cost?

We do not publish prices, because a price per meal quoted without knowing the operation is an invented number: it depends on volume, time windows, menu type, site logistics and special diets. You receive a proposal with pricing within 48 hours of the assessment visit.

Request the assessment

Can we exit the contract if the service does not work?

Yes. The contract allows termination without cause and without penalty during the first 90 days, with 30 days' notice. Before that you can start with a 30-day paid pilot you may leave freely. After day 90 the same 30-day notice applies to both parties.

The reason we can offer this is the same reason you should ask for it: the burden of proof is ours, not yours. A supplier who asks for trust up front is moving the cost of checking onto you.

See the written commitments

What do we receive each month besides the food?

An executive report within the first five business days: participation per employee, menu-cycle compliance, the satisfaction measurement result, incidents for the period and — the section no operator includes — what went wrong and what was done about it.

That report is what allows an HR director to justify the spend internally, and it is also why the contract gets renewed without a price argument.

See the sample report

What is the minimum headcount to contract a canteen?

Daily food service under contract starts from 20 employees. If you would rather not sign a contract, DAILY delivery starts from 25 people per order, placed by 4:00 p.m. the previous day. The two minimums measure different things — headcount on one side, order size on the other — because they are different operations.

And if your company is smaller than that? There is still a way in: the events line has no headcount minimum and covers what a small company usually needs — a board meeting, a client visit, a celebration, a month-end close. Write to us with the date and the real number, even if it is eight.
